Former ALICE IN CHAINS Bassist Performs At BRONSON ARROYO's CD-Release Party

July 15, 2005

According to MLB.com, former ALICE IN CHAINS/OZZY OSBOURNE basist Mike Inez and TONY IOMMI drummer Kenny Aronoff joined Sox right-hander Bronson Arroyo on stage before 500 screaming and cheering fans at the Avalon nightclub across from Fenway Park Wednesday night (July 13) to celebrate the release of Arroyo's debut CD, "Covering the Bases" (Asylum Records).
"The day I worked with him we did three songs — a FOO FIGHTERS song, an INCUBUS song and a STONE TEMPLE PILOTS song," Inez said. "It was just nice to get in there and work with him. The look on Bronson's face was just amazing. It was just so cool to see him smiling and enjoy his first real recording."

Before leaving to get a good night's sleep in preparation for Thursday's game, Arroyo sang a set of songs, including "Best I Ever Had" (VERTICAL HORIZON),"Plush" (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS),"Slide" (GOO GOO DOLLS) and Arroyo's personal favorite, "Black" (PEARL JAM).
